Special Town Meeting

Kerri writes "There will be a Special Town Meeting on Thursday - June 24th, 2010 at 6 PM. The meeting will take place at Kittredge School. Qualified voters are asked to act on the following articles:
ARTICLE 1: To choose a Moderator to preside over the meeting if the elected Moderator is not present.
ARTICLE 2: To see if the Town will vote to reinstate the police department to its FY10 staffing and funding levels.
ARTICLE 3: To transact any other business that may legally come before said meeting.

Transfer Station Stickers

Kerri writes "The NEW Transfer Station stickers will be available for purchase starting June 15th, 2010 at the Transfer Station. Transfer Station permits are vaild from July 1st-June 30th of each year. "

On Thursday, May 20th at 7:00 p.m. at the Hinsdale Town Hall there will be a FREE poetry reading OPEN TO ALL. Amber Dezess, Jared Sweetser, Becky Pare, Kirk Emerson, Claire Burnham, Breanna Heon, Victoria Ware, and Jeanette Litz all of Waconah Regional High School will read their original poetry. Dennis Pollock of Hinsdale will also read an original poem about the murder of a Hinsdale man which took place in 1812. Copies of the poems will be available at no charge to the audience. The reading will be sponsored by Slate Roof Publishing and by a grant from the Hinsdale-Peru Local Cultural Council.Please come and enjoy an evening of poetry with us.
